Intro
We were gold once, you and me (gold) Everybody watched — nobody saw (nobody saw)
Verse 1
Kings in a golden tower, the couple they all wanted to be But under all that shine, I was trapped (trapped) A crown that never came off (never came off) No money for a quiet night with you No time to just be us (just be us)
Chorus
I thought we had forever (forever) But the truth is we had nothing (nothing) Two fallen angels, buried in gold (buried in gold) I lost my love, and then myself too Now I'm lost without you (lost without you, without you)
Verse 2
I lost the love of my life that night (that night) Your side of the bed still cold, your hoodie still on my chair Left with your name in my phone and nowhere to send it Still searching for your halo in the dark (in the dark)
Bridge
You were my Eden, my only holy place (holy place) Now I'm a ghost in our empty rooms (empty rooms) But I'll find you again, I swear it's true (I swear) Not gone — just sealed away (sealed away) Not goodbye — just not yet (not yet, not yet)
Outro
Not goodbye — just not yet (not yet) (just not yet... not yet)
